Under the signed agreement with Beirut Annunciation Orthodox College, Calipso International’s Green Initiative is set to expand for the 2027/2028 academic year, building on the 2026/2027 initial implementation.
The partnership includes a joint review after approximately three months, dedicated to refining and developing the program’s execution. Findings from the review will shape how the expanded system of reusable products, packaging and operational assets is rolled out more broadly.

Beirut, Lebanon — September 16, 2026 — Calipso International and Beirut Annunciation Orthodox College have signed the first school partnership under the Green Initiative, a pioneering program developed to eliminate disposable plastic uniform bags by transitioning school-uniform distribution toward reusable and returnable alternatives.
Calipso International and Beirut Annunciation Orthodox College agreed to bulk-package one uniform item instead of using individual plastic bags — already avoiding more than 5,200 single-use plastic bags this year. That result was the spark for the Green Initiative, now growing into a full program of reusable products and returnable packaging. This result is expected to increase further this year, as Beirut Annunciation Orthodox College has begun implementing the Green Initiative program through reusable solutions designed to replace the plastic bag used on uniform collection day.
